Walk in the Birtle Area

Starting from the Church Inn, Castle Hill Rd, Rochdale, Bury BL9 6UH at 11am (the pub is currently closed so there should be no issues with using the car park) we’ll follow tracks, lanes, bridleways and footpaths on this approx. 8 mile walk.

I’m planning on stopping at Buckhurst Lodge for something to eat/drink so bring some money if you’d like to purchase anything.

There will be mud and hills so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. The walk is weather dependent so please check the event page before leaving, and let me know if you’re no longer planning on attending so we’re not waiting for anyone unnecessarily.

Finally, a reminder that I am a volunteer and this is simply a meetup for like-minded people. Those who attend must be confident in their own ability to join the activity, and are responsible for their own safety
