Introduction to adventure camping – Gloucestershire.

This weekend is designed for non-campers, or those with very minimal experience.

Our team of volunteers will guide you through the preparation for your first camp. You will learn about the kit you need, and how to choose that kit if you want to buy your own.

We have full sets of camping kit to loan if you don’t have your own.

On the weekend we gather and pack our kit. Then we have a three mile walk to our nearly wild campsite on a co-operative run farm. There are compost toilets on site. We will spend the evening learning about tents and sleeping kit, learn to use the stoves and then chat as the stars come out.

On Sunday we pack up, and return to the start point (3 miles), with a quick stop for a wild swim in the river if the conditions allow.
