Wild Bushcraft Weekend

FRIDAY, 30 MARCH 2018 – SUNDAY, 1 APRIL 2018

Try something a little different with our Wild Bushcraft Weekend!

You will have the opportunity to explore and develop a variety of bushcraft and survival skills including firelighting, foraging, wood carving, sharps skills, shelter building and wild cooking.

Before settling in for the night, you will come together for a vegan dinner, made mostly from food you have foraged as a team. Overnight you will wild camp in the heart of nature, giving you an opportunity to fully immerse yourself in bushcraft.

This weekend is perfect for beginners or for those who already have a grasp on bushcraft techniques but want to practice their technique. No prior experience is needed.

Wild Bushcraft Weekend will be delivered by Bryn Hennelly, an outdoor education and bushcraft expert. Bryn particularly enjoys adopting a Norweigan style when it comes to her teaching.

This weekend is not about endurance but about learning new skills and meeting like-minded women in a fun and relaxed environment.

Specialist tools and equipment needed for the bushcraft activities will be provided. You will, however, need to provide your own personal gear and camping equipment either a tent, bivvy or hammock (nothing too large as you will be stealth camping).

If you own a fixed blade knife or a small axe, you are encouraged to bring these.

Some items can be borrowed if you do not own them, please contact Bryn (see below) for more details.

Where: Windermere, Lake District
Price: £75

Spaces are limited to 12 women. Apart from the evening meal, food and drink is not included in the price. You are also responsible for getting yourself to and from the activity start and finish. Bookings are non-refundable.
