Love Her Wild – Local Group Participation Statement

Please read prior to attending a Love Her Wild regional group meetup.

1. Engaging in outdoor activities can provide life-long physical, social and mental health benefits through exercise and adventure in amazing environments. Love Her Wild recognises these activities involve a risk of personal injury or death. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

2. It is important to recognise that Love Her Wild regional meetups are organised and delivered by our volunteer team, some of whom hold professional outdoor leadership qualifications, and others who bring a wealth of personal experience. Love Her Wild has a duty of care to provide the volunteer team with appropriate training and safety guidance to reduce risks as far as reasonably practical, regardless of their formal training. By joining a regional meet-up, you acknowledge the peer-led nature of these outdoor activities and the support we provide to our volunteers, for the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

3. Before joining a local meet-up it is a requirement to complete the Emergency Contact & Medical Form for the associated group. This data will be deleted annually on 1st January, therefore it will need to be completed once per year. It is the responsibility of the participant to resubmit the form if details change, and you can request that the information is deleted at any time. Data is stored in accordance with Love Her Wild’s Privacy Policy.

4. Participants must be aged 18 years or over to attend a Love Her Wild meetup.

5. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that the activity is within their capabilities, accounting for fitness and any medical conditions

6. Love Her Wild is not responsible for any loss or damage of items brought to a Love Her Wild meet up

7. Love Her Wild regional groups should not be used as a platform for others to organise meetups, or sell/promote trips external to Love Her Wild.

8. Love Her Wild volunteers may occasionally appoint approved activity providers to organise events that require a specific leadership qualification. Volunteers will never accept money for running an event, and in the case of appointing an activity provider, the participants would pay the activity provider directly.

9. Nothing in this agreement shall exclude or limit our liability for (i) fraud or other criminal act, (ii) personal injury or death caused by the negligence of our employees or volunteers in connection with the performance of their duties hereunder or by defects in any product supplied pursuant to this agreement, or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Our volunteers may take photos and video during your activity to share on Love Her Wild’s website and wider social media groups (notify the organiser if you don’t wish to be in them). Unless you have notified us otherwise, and by attending, you agree to being photographed or filmed and for the images to be used, published and/or made the subject of property rights by Love Her Wild or third parties.
