Worsley Woods and Bridgewater Canal Walk (Salford)
Come and join Sam on a midweek wander around the beautiful village of Worsley in Salford and along the Bridgewater Canal.
This circular walk explores Worsley Woods and the surrounding area. We will start our walk from Worsley Green and head into Worsley Woods and follow the path towards the loopline and back along the Bridgewater Canal. The walk is approximately 7k and will take around 2 hours.
We will meet at Worsley Green Monument and will be setting off at 6.30pm – Worsley Green Monument

There’s plenty of roadside parking on the A572 on Worsley Road.
Walkden Station is the closest train station to Worlsey, I would be happy to pick anyone up from here but your train would have to arrive before 6.00pm.
Sorry no dogs allowed.
After our walk we have the option of getting a drink at one of the village pubs, this is optional.
It’s Manchester after all so please bring a warm jacket. Worsley Woods may be muddy so please wear appropriate shoes.
If you have a change of plan and are unable to make it on the day please can you let me know so we are not waiting on the day for anyone that cant attend, thank you.
Just a reminder this is a meetup led by volunteers for like minded people. Therefore you must be competent in your own ability to walk and your own level of fitness. You will be responsible for your own health and safety. We would also ask that if you have any signs of illness that you do not attend on the day.
