Walk and wild swim(s)
Come exploring! A walk of approximately 8 miles taking in some of the wild country on the slopes of the Black Mountain. We will have the chance to swim in a flooded shake-hole, and also in some smaller river pools.
The walk covers some rough, very tussocky ground and has some steep slopes. (Nothing which requires scrambling or specialist skills, though!) The area is quite remote so please ensure you have everything you need for the day, including lunch, snacks, drinks, appropriate clothing for the weather and anything you may want for a swim (footwear recommended for the river dip as the base is rocky). Swims/dips are absolutely optional!
Parking is available at the Dan yr Ogof showcaves, but you must book your car in and pay for a ticket (currently £5 for the day). Tickets are available from the cafe at the upper car park, we will meet in the lower car-park (follow signs for the caravan/camping field)
