(Super Casual) Christmas Meet and Walk

About:

A 10km circular walk in which we will meet at Cupcake Lane Cafe and follow the beautifully scenic dismantled railway line which runs through Smestow Valley Nature Reserve. We will then head back to Smestow along the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal and take in a bit of Wolverhampton’s old arts and crafts architecture and industry. For those wishing to wind down and enjoy a slice of cake and a hot drink we should be back to Cupcake Lane Cafe just before closing time.

Transport:

There are toilets, parking and refreshments available at the start and end of the walk at Cupcake Lane Cafe.

Travel West Midlands operate a regular service (number 1 and 6) from outside Wolverhampton Art Gallery on Princess Street.

Please Note:

Although the walk will mostly be flat the ground may be uneven and muddy, and so appropriate footwear such as walking boots or trainers are advisable as is warm clothing.

There are lots of opportunities to take a break with ample benches dotted along the route.
