St David’s Night Hike

Let’s celebrate St David’s Day with another walk in the dark, this time up Ysgyryd Fawr (aka The Skirrid) in WALES .

The walk starts out STEEP up through the woods before flattening slightly as we climb out the trees. The top of Ysgyryd Fawr is a lovely flat ridge with amazing views in all directions. The whole route up and back is a little under 4 miles, and will take 2-3 hours.

Dress for the weather on the night and please make sure you have a weather proof jacket in your bag (or wear it!). You’ll need boots or very sturdy trail shoes as the route is steep and often muddy. And if course you’ll need a hands free head torch!
