Rutland Water Cycle
Join the Lincolnshire Love Her Wild group for a cycle around the beautiful Rutland Water. We did this last year and there was ambition to do the whole 23 mile loop to include the peninsular.
We will meet at and ride from Whitwell on the North Shore, be ready to set off at 10.30am at Rutland Cycles next to the car park. There is a charge for parking. You can bring your own bike or they can be hired and booked in advance here https://www.rutlandcycling.com/pages/cycle-hire-whitwell.html and prices start from £24.99. 🚲 Please have a look at the meeting point before you set off as there are many different car parks so please don’t just type “Rutland Water” into your Sat nav and hope for the best (yes this did happen last year…)
We will go at a pace suitable for all that attend, you will need some level of fitness due to the length of the ride and although the route is mainly flat, there will be some inclines and off road parts. We will allow 4 hours so please bring drinks and snacks although there are places to stop, including a pub on route! 🍺
Your Local Wilder volunteers are me (Lisa) and Nicola Chapman, please get in touch if you want to ask anything before the day or just to get in touch, we appreciate it can be a bit scary coming to these events. 😊
As much as we love to meet them all, we are going to say no dogs at this event.
As with all Love Her Wild events, by attending, you accept full responsibility for yourself, for your safety and to work within your abilities. We hope everyone can benefit from the positive space offered by Love Her Wild and look forward to seeing you there!
Please do consider supporting the Love Her Wild community by becoming a Patreon! Not only will you be helping women in accessing the outdoors, but there are great benefits including giveaways and access to an exclusive newsletter.
