Panopticon Walk #3 The Halo
This is the third in our series of panopticon walks (more info here: https://www.visitlancashire.com/things…/panopticons-p96590 )
This walk begins at what was Ski Rossendale but is now The Hill Ski Slope, postcode BB4 8RR. We’ll park either in the free car park (no signs up prohibiting this when I recce’d the walk) or on the road just outside.
We’ll walk up to the Halo and then continue on a circular route of approx. 4 miles. There are a few hills on this route but we will go as slowly as necessary.
The walk should take around 2 hours.
Please wear suitable footwear and warm/waterproof clothing and bring something to drink and a maybe a snack.
Most women attend on their own so don’t let this put you off – we usually chat all the way round!
There is a cafe at the ski slope for a coffee afterwards if anyone would like.
Finally, a reminder this is a meetup led by volunteers for like minded people. Therefore you must be competent in your own ability to walk and your own level of fitness. You will be responsible for your own health and safety. We would also ask that if you have any signs of illness that you do not attend on the day.
