Hike the Peak District Dragon Back

The Lincolnshire group are heading over the county border to Derbyshire for our next hike.

Chrome Hill and Parkhouse are two small but impressive hills that make up the Peak districts infamous “Dragons back”.

The hike will be a fairly challenging 9km loop over steep rocky terrain with two scramble sections on Parkhouse. It is not overly technical route, but limestone can be slippery even when dry so please wear sturdy walking shoes or boots. It should take us between 3-4 hours to complete so snacks and layers are advisable.

We will meet outside the quiet woman pub at 9.30am in Earl Sterndale SK17 0BX. Road side parking is available in the village.

Please consider the environment when attending LHW events and car share were possible.

As with all Love Her Wild events, by attending, you accept full responsibility for yourself, for your safety and to work within your abilities. We hope everyone can benefit from the positive space offered by Love Her Wild and look forward to seeing you there.
