Hike near Aberfoyle
Join us for a morning walk at the from the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre near Aberfoyle. This is a waymarked trail from the visitors’ centre on mostly forest tracks and paths. There are some sustained steep sections and pats of the path are rough so good walking shoes or boots are recommended. We will also make a short stop at the red squirrel wildlife hide afterwards to see what wildlife we can see.
We will return to the visitors’ centre to eat lunch- you can either bring your own picnic or buy something from the café.
Don’t want the day to end? We will be running and orienteering meet-up in the afternoon. Full details here: https://fb.me/e/5vKKYeKAn
Parking is available at the Visitors Centre for a charge (£5 per day) and in Aberfoyle. There are regular busses to Aberfoyle if you want to arrive by public transport or feel free to ask in the group about lift shares!
