Evening Walk: Crammond Island
This is a short walk (about 3km) from Cramond Shore over the causeway and out to the island. The walk to the island is flat and easy although the surface of the causeway is uneven and we might take a small walk up to the islands summit. There will be some time to explore the island and then we will return to the mainland before the tide covers the causeway. We will meet at the start of the causeway (next to the sign with the tide times) on Cramond shore at 7.30pm.
There is parking in Cramond and the number 41 bus from Edinburgh drops you close by.
The timing of this event is very important so that we don’t get cut off by the tide! This means that we wont be able to wait for too long if people are late.
We should be back on the mainland before sunset but I would strongly reccomend bringing a good torch incase we stay longer than planned and need to cross the causeway in low light.
