3 Reservoirs Walk – Bolton

Are you looking for a longer walk at the weekend?

This walk will be 10-12 miles. It is uneven terrain of tracks and footpaths and could be wet and muddy. I expect to walk at about 2-2.5 miles per hour and should take 5 – 6 hours.

It is a circular walk from Turton Tower car park. Car parking is free but it can get very busy as it’s not too big. Please park considerably and carshare if possible.

We will be walking around the Turton and Entwistle, Wayoh and Jumbles Reservoirs.

We will start our walk at 10.30am from the car park. There are free public toilets available.

There is a cafe at the end of our walk, which may still be open, where we may want to finish with a hot drink and/or cake!! Optional but nice.

Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of drinks for yourself throughout the day. Dress appropriate for the weather but bring waterproof jacket and overtrousers just in case!! Hiking boots or good strong, sturdy waterproof trail shoes will also be needed.

If you have a change of plan and are unable to make it on the day please can you let me know so we are not waiting on the day for anyone that can’t attend, thank you.

Just a reminder this is a meetup led by volunteers for like minded people. Therefore you must be competent in your own ability to walk and your own level of fitness. You will be responsible for your own health and safety. We would also ask that if you have any signs of illness that you do not attend on the day.
