Eco Surf Escape

TUE 2 MAY 2020 – SUN 10 May 2020

This expedition is the perfect combination of outdoor activity and relaxation, set on the beautiful Indonesian Island, Lombok. Mornings will be spent learning or improving surfing with afternoons free for yoga. You will have an opportunity to join in beach cleans and conservation workshops.

Surf & Yoga

Throughout your 9 day expedition, you will be based in a beautiful Eco Lodge nestled in a quiet spot in the jungle. Your own slice of paradise….we guarantee you’ll never want to leave!

You’ll be in comfortable twin en-suite garden rooms and will have daily access to the pool and lounge areas on site.

Throughout your stay you will have 4 half day surf lessons (teacher ratio 1:2), with a day in between to recover. Lombok has great all year round waves ranging from small to large making it the perfect place to learn or improve your surfing skills. You don’t need any previous experience as your teacher will cover everything you need to know. As you improve throughout the week there is an opportunity to try out new spots and bigger waves as you start to feel more comfortable on the water.

All surf sessions have the bonus of taking place on stunning white sand beaches with clear blue seas!

Worried you won’t be good enough? Don’t be!!

This is a really relaxed pressure free chance to have a go at surfing and yoga with no expectations. The aim is to simply get outdoors and have some fun splashing about in the water with like-minded individuals.

When you are not surfing, you have unlimited access to the loges yoga lessons which take place in a beautiful open shelter. There are 4-5 yoga sessions running A DAY ranging from slow stretching, to more energetic flows. You can drop in to do as much or as little as you like and sessions are suitable for all levels from beginner to pro.

All equipment for your surf and yoga sessions are provided.

Healthy vegetarian breakfasts and 4 team vegetarian dinners are included. The rest of your meals you can choose to eat on the beachfront following your surfing lessons, or its a 10 minute walk to the centre of Lombok where you are spoilt with dozens of restaurants to choose from.

Eco

Indonesia is a beautiful country that has been hit hard by conservation issues. Love Her Wild believes that it’s important to learn and do our bit for the nature in the countries we visit.

You’ll have an opportunity to learn about some of the conservation issues in Indonesia and what you can do to make a difference going forward.

Plastic pollution is very visible on many of the beaches in Lombok. While collection restrictions will limit the amount we can pick up, we will certainly be doing our bit by doing a beach clean.

You can also trust that we have worked hard to make this trip as eco as possible. Serving vegetarian team meals and staying in a sustainable lodge lowers the footprint of this expedition considerably.

Getting to Lombok

You will be responsible for getting yourself to and from Lombok Island. You can arrive either by flight or ferry.

For flights you will firstly need to catch an international flight to Bali where you can then take a domestic flight to Lombok. You will be collected from the airport and brought to the lodge.

The more eco alternative is to take the ferry – and this is a great option if you can spare a few extra days to see Bali, which we strongly recommend doing. From the international airport you can take a taxi to the ferry port and take one of the many fast boats which head to the island each day. You will be collected from the ferry port and brought to the lodge if you choose this option.

If you do decide to visit Bali there is lots to see and do but the most popular destination is Ubud where you can easily spend a few days visiting temples and seeing the tea plantations. It is very easy and cheap to travel to this area to and from the airport and ferry ports.

A private Facebook group will be set up so you can meet your team beforehand. This could be a great place to plan a few extra days with others who want to do the same. We are also on hand to give advice and to help you make a plan!
